What to Expect: Sand Hollow is collaborating with Utah’s Department of Outdoor Recreation to host the Plant Discovery “Every Kid Outdoors” Challenge. Meet a Park Ranger at our Leggy Loop Trail next to OHV Staging to learn about and enjoy the beautiful outdoors. The event itself is free; park entry is reduced for children participating in the event. If you choose to come early and volunteer your time, park entry will be waived.

What to Expect: The Huntsman World Senior Games are the largest annual multi-sport event in the world for athletes aged 50 and over. The event, which includes over 40 different sports, has taken place for two weeks each October in St. George, Utah, USA for over 35 years. From softball to swimming, from square dance to soccer, The Huntsman World Senior Games offers a world class competition experience. The games kick off with a cauldron lighting ceremony on October 4th.

Spectators can attend all events, including sports competitions, opening ceremonies, concerts and celebrations completely free of charge.

What to Expect: At the Dinosaur Discovery Site, you can observe the real paths dinosaurs walked, protected and preserved for visitors. Our museum sits on a 200 million-year-old Early Jurassic lake ecosystem filled with fossilized animal tracks, plants, fish skeletons, and more—preserved exactly where they were found.
